Dieweil fiengen der König und Königin kurtzweil wegen mit einander anzuspielen. Das sahe einem Schach nit ungleich, allein hätt es andere Leges: Es waren aber Tugendt und Laster wider einander, da kundte man artlich sehen, mit was Practicken die Laster der Tugendt nachstelleten, und wie ihnen wieder zubegegnen, diß gieng so artlich und Künstlich zu, daß zu wünschen, wir hetten dergleichen Spiel auch.

  Seventh day
Meanwhile, the King and the Queen, to deceive attends him, they began a game of an alike game to the chess, but what it had different rules. The Virtue and the Vice fought between them. They were well evident the artifices with which the Vice extended traps to the Virtue and as the virtue it tried to hinder it. It was indeed a ingenious game. We wish that near of spread us of it one similar.

  Settimo giorno
Intanto, il Re e la Regina, per ingannare l'attesa, incominciarono una partita di un gioco somigliante agli scacchi, ma che aveva regole diverse. La Virtù ed il Vizio lottavano fra di loro. Erano ben evidenti gli artifici con i quali il Vizio tendeva trappole alla Virtù e come la virtù cercasse di ostacolarlo. Era un gioco davvero ingegnoso. C'è da augurarsi che presso di noi se ne diffonda uno simile. (2)
